Commonly used in the "hot ice" science experiment, or as a developer for Platinum/Palladium Printing and Kallitype Printing.
For the "hot ice" experiment, disolve approximately 85-95 grams of Sodium Acetate in 100ml (3.3 oz) distilled water. Heat the water to near boiling, while adding sodium acetate, stirring constantly. Pour the hot solution into a clean container, making sure you leave any un-disolved chunks of Sodium Acetate in your original vessel. Place the container in the refrigerator and allow it to cool.
Various demonstrations are possible at this point, we suggest viewing the many videos available on Youtube for ideas.
