Albumen printing became the first widely distributed commercial photographic printing process in the late 1850s. Known for its deep aubergine tones and alluring texture the albumen process is unique among even the alternative photo processes. Join Dana in the darkroom and learn to create these uniquely tactile prints. Dana will lead the class through floating paper to toning prints.

You can either pay in full for the class or pay a $300 deposit. The remaining balance will be due at the beginning of the class. To pay the deposit make sure to select Pay deposit at the bottom of this page.
All classes are Thursday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm. All supplies and chemistry are included in the cost of the class. Lunch is not provided, though we often eat together either in our reception area or at a restaurant nearby (covid and weather permitting).
Bostick and Sullivan is requiring proof of vaccination and will also be providing covid rapid tests to be taken at the start of each class. We are limiting our class sizes to 6 and will be adhering to social distancing guidelines. Masks will be worn by both instructors and students during the classes.
All students will be responsible for finding accommodations and transportation. Bostick and Sullivan is located on the south side of Santa Fe in an industrial business park. Our lab and workshops are no more than 25 minutes from most downtown hotels. Rental cars and Uber are available in Santa Fe however the pandemic has made each more expensive and more scarce. If you are planning on renting a car it is best to do so early.
