Join Master Printer Dana Sullivan for this amazing workshop at the Bostick & Sullivan Studio Darkroom in historic Santa Fe, New Mexico. Create stunning platinum prints with gum bichromate overlays, adding color and depth to your images! Classes are always limited to 6 participants.
Students will learn how to create digital negatives from digital files or film scans using Photoshop and Epson printers using Bostick & Sullivan calibrations, then make platinum prints from these images. After these platinum prints have been processed, dried and flattened, students will then add secondary layers of colored pigment on the surface of the image using the gum bichromate process. This creates a subtle, glowing image with subtle color tonalities.
