Old Dead Bride Salted Collodion Kit – 650 ml

$61.99

Comes with  400mls of bromoiodizer, 250mls of collodion, and an amber bottle for mixing. The kit will make 650mls of salted collodion. If you are wanting to make a smaller batch of salted collodion you will make a solution of 60% bromoiodizer and 40% collodion or 3 parts bromoiodizer to 2 parts collodion. Once mixed the salted collodion will begin to age and continue to despite how it is stored or how heavily it is used. As the salted collodion ages, it will become less light-sensitive and have greater contrast. We recommend the two-part kit for anyone who isn’t shooting constantly and can mix as they go to avoid over-aged collodion.

Old Dead Bride is a modern collodion recipe developed by Brandon Fernandez. It is a slightly faster collodion than Old Workhorse but has a shorter shelf life once mixed. A great choice for studio portraits.

Due to the volatile nature of collodion and collodion products we have a 6-month guarantee on all collodion processes and products. Replacements outside of this guarantee will be evaluated case by case.
