The gum bichromate process is a technique that allows the artist to create a monochrome print with one exposure, but in practice, multiple layers are applied atop each other for multiple exposures, resulting in multiple layers of color.
Learn every aspect of the process, from the selection and preparation of papers, mixing pigments, coating paper, and creating multiple layers of emulsion to produce a full color image.
